Rental charges are payable in advance at the level shown, monthly by standing order, unless a different method is agreed. No VAT is to be added to any charges. An arrangement to rent an instrument for a minimum of one year is normally rewarded by a discount of approximately 5%. The minimum rental period is normally three months. Clients may rent more than one instrument in succession, although delivery-charges will be payable for each.

A initial delivery / installation charge is usually required, and will normally be the equivalent of one month’s rental-fee, plus an allowance for travel-costs. For example, a normal delivery to the London area will cost £120.

Servicing : a visit by the supplier will usually carry a charge equal to one month’s rental fee plus travelling expenses. An annual service will usually require 1- 2 hours’ work, depending upon the instrument. This service may not always be required. Servicing-work carried out by the supplier’s agent will be at the agent’s rate of charge. In London this is likely to be less than a visit by the supplier (due to the agent’s proximity), unless the supplier can combine the service with other work.
